Aviance Ghana partners with Futurestars Charity.

Aviance Ghana on Wednesday 18th May 2022 opened its doors to beneficiaries of Futurestars Charity to have a feel of the operations of the company at the Kotoka International Airport.

As part of Aviance Ghana’s corporate social responsibility activities to the community, the children of Futurestars Charity were made to experience activities at the cargo warehouse, visited the operations control centre of the company to learn about the aviation industry and educate them on the operations of Aviance Ghana Limited.

The partnership between Aviance Ghana and Futurestar Charity will help develop the children at the centre and provide monthly monetary contributions to help in the upkeep and running of the centre.

Futurestars Charity is an NGO located in the busy city of Tema with a long-term goal of improving the lives of every child who attends a Futurestars supported school through sports.

The children who attend the Futurestars schools come from some of the poorest communities and previously had no access to Physical Education or sports at school. Sport delivered by full time qualified coaches gives the children motivation to attend school as well as a break from the working day and whilst this is for everyone – currently some 2,500 children attend each week – the coaches also run after-school Development Academies for children showing particular promise in football and netball.

Working to assist in the refurbishment of the schools is also a priority as there are no funds for general maintenance and facilities in all the schools are limited.
