On May 23, 2020, Aviance donated food items to the Teshie Children’s Home, in the Greater Accra Region to aid them in the Covid-19 challenges.
The presentation was done by Alhaji Ibrahim Bismarck Seidu (HRM in charge of CSR), Mrs. Helen Agyemang-Badu (QH&S Manager), Mr. Kobina Takyi (HR Officer, Analytics) Ms. Pearl Darkwah (PA to MD) and Mr. David Agbanyo (Driver), on behalf of Mr. Mark Kamis (MD) to Mrs. Janet Anyeley Parker (Mother & Proprietress), Mrs. Mensah and Lamptey(support staff) of the Home.
The items included unspecified cartons of fresh milk, biscuits, plantain chips, milo, beverage items, soft drinks and face mask.
The HR Manager in his address informed the Proprietress of the Home that as part of it’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Aviance was happy to share with the Home its widow’s mite by donating the food items to aid in confronting some of the challenges society was faced with during the Covid-19 pandemic. He said this was the time the children looked up to society to put smiles on the faces.
Alhaji Seidu stressed that the company does not limit its welfare and care to only employees of the Company but also to the larger community who are stakeholders.
Mrs. Janet Anyeley, expressed gratitude to Aviance and said the children who age between 3 to 23 depend solely on benevolent individuals and organizations such as Aviance. She added that the children attend both public and private schools and have been able to turn out university graduates, nurses and other disciplines.
She prayed for Aviance and the world to overcome the hazards of Covid-19, so that businesses would bounce back and for society to live normal lives.
